The Power Systems Facility (PSF) developed, tested, and validated the electrical power
systems for the International Space Station and other space applications. Scientists and engineers can verify design concepts and test prototype hardware here.
Facility Overview
The Power Systems Facility (PSF) developed, tested, and validated the electrical power systems for the International Space Station and other space applications. PSF houses testbeds where scientists and engineers verfiy criticial design concepts, test prototype hardware and software, and validate systems in real-time simulations under actual loading and operating conditions.

An adjacent solar array field provides 960 solar cell modules to power system hardware during testing. The PSF offers the capability for testing of flywheel systems and components, battery systems, fuel cells, AC power sources, electrical actuators, and power management and distribution hardware and software.
