The ECRL 2B has supported research of the T-700, T-800 and T-55 turboshaft engines.

Facility Capabilities
The Engine Components Research Laboratory's three major test rigs are each focused on unique areas of aeropropulsion research.

ECRL-1B Capabilities
  • Air supply: 60 lb/s at 150 psig
  • Inlet temperature: up to 600°F (nonvitiated), 1900°F (vitiated)
  • Exhaust service: atmospheric and altitude up to 50,000 ft
  • Auxiliary Systems
    • 125 psig Service Air
    • Hydraulic and cooling water systems
  • Fuel System:
    • JP-4
    • JP-5
    • Jet A at 70 gpm at 950 psig
    • Gaseous Hydrogen: 1 lb/sec at 1500 psig
    • Gaseous Oxygen: 5 lb/sec at 1500 psig
  • Data system: ESCORT (online, real time, and post processing)
